My first post of 2015! I can’t believe I have only just got round to writing this and we are almost in February already!!
So much has happened it’s unreal. I don’t know where to start there is that much! My website is coming along nicely but there is still a lot of content to write. Click on the link and add your e-mail to be the first to see the site straight after launch.
Plans for Lula Mai Big Day are well under way now. With only two months to go we are officially on countdown. It has all been planned down to the last detail and the team at Lula Mai Events have been working very hard in order to make this perfect for our lovely couple Emma and Ross. The Times have approached us and the story so far will be published in their Valentines edition which we are all very excited about.
I have now booked my wedding planning course with The UK Alliance of Wedding Planners (UKAWP) which starts up next weekend in London and I am super excited about that. Can’t wait to network with other like-minded planners and see what extra things I can learn to help me on my way.
I am also delighted to announce that I have now taken over as chair for The Oxfordshire Weddings Project. For those of you that have not already heard about us we are a wedding networking group. We host meetings at various venues throughout Oxfordshire. I love to help people and make connections so when I was asked to do this I felt it was the perfect opportunity to do just that. Please follow our page or The Oxfordshire Project Website to find out where we will be next.
One last thing to announce – We have a couple of wedding fayres coming up. One of which is at Fallowfields Country House Hotel Sunday 8th March 11:30 – 4:00pm so feel free to pop along and meet all our wonderful suppliers. You can find the event here.
PHEW! Well I think that is me all caught up! I will keep you all updated.
Hugs and smiles
What have I been up to this week? Mostly getting ready for Christmas as has every other person. Pretty much there, a great organiser has got to be prepared! How far have you got?
I have also got a new e-mail address – firstname.lastname@example.org as my website is now in the process of being built which is all very exciting but will take some time and preparation to complete. If you would like to be put on the mailing list please go to my website and pop in your e-mail address to be the first to know the minute we go live!
I am currently going through all the hundreds of business cards and contacts I have received over the past few months and finally adding them in to my contacts list. Lots to prepare for but it will all be worth it in the end and means I have a wide range of contacts for my brides.
Hope you are all enjoying the holidays so far.
The past two weeks have been completely hectic. My diary has been filled with lots of meetings, mostly to meet new wedding suppliers. You brides to be are going to be in for a right treat!
One of my first meetings was to meet Nav at Kuhnas Wedding Chauffeurs. He showed me one of his many gorgeous cars of which he was very proud to show off (a Mercedes S class to be precise!) and indeed he should be, it was gorgeous! I am currently trying to convince Nav to give it to me as my company car so if you see him please give him a nudge 🙂
To find out more about the cars available for hire please go to Kuhnas for details.
I also went to meet the lovely Claire from Mabel and Rose who owns a very pretty workshop full of quirky little garden wedding hire items such as vintage jugs, old milk bottles and Victorian terracotta pots as well as much larger items. To see what she has in stock please visit Mabel and Rose
One lady I have been trying to arrange to visit for a while is Victoria at The Chipping Norton Tea Set. I first met her on Twitter whilst following the #WitneyHour where I have also met lots of other business owners. She was such a lovely lady. So glad I arranged to finally meet up with her. She specialises in vintage tea set hire and her parties just look amazing. I can’t wait to try one for myself one day. Please can someone arrange one and invite little old me. Else I may just have to gate crash…. ** thinks up cunning plan in which to do so **
An exciting visit was to see James at Wolf Productions again to get some ideas on paper for my new website and yes I took biscuits. I can’t wait to get some content written and get it all going but all in good time. James has been so accommodating already and he can’t come rated highly enough. If you are thinking of getting a website built please do not hesitate to give him a call. Wolf Productions
Another of my meetings was with the rest of the Lula Mai team at Fallowfields restaurant and hotel where we have been given the amazing opportunity to host a wedding fayre there in March next year following the success of our first wedding fayre at The Blue Boar, Witney. Really looking forward to planning this one. It’s going to be BIG! To read about this amazing venue visit Fallowfields. For updates on the fayre and to register your interest as a supplier please visit Lula Mai Events and send us a message.
Last but by no means least I am on a secret assignment which I can not tell you about right now but I am assisting a lovely lady and I am so excited to be a part of it. All will be revealed very soon but in the mean time please keep up with my blog posts to see what else I have been up to in the world of weddings and events.
Thank you for reading! Have a great weekend guys! 🙂
New listing on Wonder Weddings Website
Today was mostly about biscuits. Biscuits you say?…but the subject says productions?…well it was very productive. Maybe it should be changed to – biscuits with James. It just involved eating a lot of biscuits. I do see a pattern forming here with me eating cake and biscuits and drinking lots of tea with various people and I then wonder why I put on weight. The meeting wasn’t really about biscuits, although it did prove difficult to hold a conversation whilst eating them but James was very appreciative regardless.
While sitting in his shiny new office complete with sofa may I add we actually discussed designing a little website for my business. I won’t say too much for the time being but it is all looking very positive and exciting. James has already helped me with advice and I feel we have already become firm friends. Maybe the biscuits helped a little, who knows!
Keep reading my blog to find out more about the up coming website and in the mean time, if you wish to find out about what James actually does aside from eat biscuits you can visit his website at http://www.wolfproductions.co.uk/ – Please let him know I recommended him but be sure to arm yourself with biscuits on your visit!
