New Year

Meeting with James from Wolf Productions

Today was mostly about biscuits. Biscuits you say?…but the subject says productions?…well it was very productive. Maybe it should be changed to – biscuits with James. It just involved eating a lot of biscuits. I do see a pattern forming here with me eating cake and biscuits and drinking lots of tea with various people and I then wonder why I put on weight. The meeting wasn’t really about biscuits, although it did prove difficult to hold a conversation whilst eating them but James was very appreciative regardless.

While sitting in his shiny new office complete with sofa may I add we actually discussed designing a little website for my business. I won’t say too much for the time being but it is all looking very positive and exciting. James has already helped me with advice and I feel we have already become firm friends. Maybe the biscuits helped a little, who knows!

Keep reading my blog to find out more about the up coming website and in the mean time, if you wish to find out about what James actually does aside from eat biscuits you can visit his website at – Please let him know I recommended him but be sure to arm yourself with biscuits on your visit!

Tea & Cake

Hello readers! Why is it I will have a mad one writing lots of posts in one go and then nothing for weeks? I need to stagger these posts. I have just been soooo busy this week. Mostly eating tea and cake! The majority of them were actually meetings though honest! Here are a few photos of the cakes that Emma at Caked in It made for the McMillan Cancer charity coffee morning on Friday. They were scrummy! If you would like a look at more of her work please visit her page Caked in It

This week I have had meetings regarding the big day and lots to prepare for that. Only 6 months left to go and I am starting to slot in all the timings for the day now so it is coming along nicely. I have also had a long catch up with the Lula Mai girls to discuss plans for our first wedding fayre which will be held at The Blue Boar in Witney on Saturday 1st November 2014 11am – 4pm. Its a winter wonderland theme. Exciting times. See you all there!!

Visit to Caswell House

Caswell House Open Day Visit

Today I went to the open day of the beautiful Caswell House situated in Witney, Oxfordshire. I have not visited before although I drive past frequently as it is so near my house. I wasnt sure what to expect but I had only heard great things. I wasnt disappointed! The buildings are exquisite and all areas were immaculately clean.

Upon walking in to the building I was greeted by two lovely members of staff who were very welcoming. The inside was just as beautiful as the outside. I managed to speak to a few exhibitors but it was very busy with interested brides so off I went to discover the rest of this little gem.

Outdoor Ceremony Area

The outdoor ceremony area was laid out in preparation to give potential brides the impression of what it could be like if they got married there.

Outdoor registry area

The registry area was under cover slightly but looked very inviting.

I was very impressed with both the guest room and bridal suite.

The guest house was equally as gorgeous as the rest of Caswell house. It had a beautiful views out of every window, a lounge and kitchen area and plenty of space for guests. It felt so homely and I think this is one of the many reasons this place is so popular. You can invite your guests to dine with you at breakfast around the dining table the morning after the wedding if you wish. There was also an option for an adjoining door for guests to visit your bridal suite which is a nice touch if you want some privacy later on.

I was fortunate enough to be able to meet Kate, the manager of this establishment and I could see she was very passionate about the venue. The open day was extremely well organised with staff in every area of the grounds to answer your questions and show you around. I found all of the staff to be a complete asset to the business, smiling and couldn’t do any more to help. If you are considering this place I would highly recommend it. They supply in house co-ordination for your day within their packages but don’t forget that Chantilly Rose Weddings & Events are able to help you with all the other aspects of your planning.
